Newsletter special edition – LIFE+ call for proposals
The European commission recently launched a call for proposals in the framework of the LIFE+ programme.
This call concerns the following areas:
1. LIFE+ Nature and Biodiversity
- Projects contributing to the implementation of the objectives of the Birds and Habitats Directives
- Projects contributing to the implementation of the objectives of the Communication "Halting the loss of Biodiversity by 2010 – and beyond".
2. LIFE+ Environment Policy and Governance
- Projects related to any of the following priority areas: Climate change, water, air, soil, urban environment, noise chemicals, environment and health, natural resources and waste, forests, innovations, strategic approaches
- Projects contributing to the monitoring of the environmental status of forests
3. LIFE+ Information and Communication
- Communication related to the European environmental policy and legislation
- Awareness raising campaigns for the prevention of forest fires
